Following the high rate of unemployment and poor living standards among People with Disabilities, the SDU committee thought it would be wise to deploy SDU in place so as to give light and hope to People living with Disabilities. SDU committee has been conducting projects of charity where they’ve managed to visit the vulnerable poor living with disabilities in rural areas of NTUNGAMO The executive committee promises to provide support to the people with disabilities in terms of small scale income generating projects to curb down unemployment among the People with Disabilities and to support and implement interventions that aim at developing the soft skills among Ugandans living with disabilities. This will create a conducive environment where people living with disabilities have equitable rights and responsibilities and easy access to education and other physiological needs that enhance societal development.

- Goal To improve the well-being of the disadvantaged people with disabilities, orphans and other vulnerable children and adults within the communities of Ntungamo district and beyond.
- Mission To raise the standards of living of the disadvantaged children with disabilities and their families through sharing and transfer of knowledge ,skills and values with a hope of building equitable environment.
- Vision To be a leading charity organisation in creating a conducive environment where people living with disabilities have equal and responsibilities and easy access to education and other physiological needs that enhance societal development.

About SDU
Support and implement interventions that aim at developing the soft skills among Ugandan children with special needs, to be able to have citizens who are capable of competing favourably in all aspects of life. Reach out to the needy children who may not have the capacity to access good quality education due to one reason or another and render necessary support to enable them attain capabilities they require to become economically and socially productive, obtain sustainable livelihoods , contribute to peaceful and democratic societies and enhance well-being. Invest in networking, marketing, advocacy and policy initiation that will extend and strengthen the equity and equality of utilization of government resources aimed at promoting the wellbeing of the disadvantaged more so the children with special needs.
